OUR STORY

I’ve been blessed to be part of some amazing brands throughout my career, and those opportunities have allowed my family and I to experience some pretty incredible places around the world.

Twenty five years ago, my wife and I fell in love with Africa. What began as our own journey slowly became something we wanted to share with our daughters as they grew older. Over the years, Africa has given our family some of our most meaningful experiences and lasting memories.

On a recent trip through Zimbabwe and Zambia, an unexpected encounter brought us to the small village of Ngamo, Zimbabwe.

Our train broke down in the middle of Hwange National Park, and while waiting, we met a local man named Bendile. We quickly connected over our shared love of soccer and, of course, Liverpool. #YNWA

Through that conversation, we learned about his friend Vusa and his dream of creating a soccer academy for the children of Ngamo. Something about that dream stayed with us.

Within weeks, our family created the 72 Seasons Foundation with a simple hope: to help make Vusa’s dream a reality.

We believe every child deserves the opportunity to play, learn, grow, and imagine a future filled with possibility, regardless of their circumstances.

What began with a broken-down train and a conversation about soccer has grown into friendships, community, and a commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for the children of Ngamo.

We have begun building the foundation for the academy, including its office and other essential infrastructure. There is still much to do, but we are grateful for the opportunity to be part of something that can reach far beyond a soccer field.

This started with soccer.

It became about community, opportunity, and the belief that when people come together with open hearts, something meaningful can grow.

We are just getting started.
